Is there anyone in central Massachusetts with a 1964 Cadillac willing to let me look at your hood release? I'm still trying to figure out how to adjust mine. Thanks Jim

The lower grill is adjusted so you can put your fingers up through the gap between the lower and middle grill. The lower grill is positioned behind the upper grill.
The lever is just behind the gap. I thought I had a picture, but I can not find it.
Thank you for the photos. I need to take precise measurements so I can adjust my grill.
I gave up on the awkward hood release and since mine is not a points car, had someone add a normal hood pull knob under the left side of the dash, just like a normal car. Available at any parts store. Works like a charm. Pull, clunk, done.
BTW, I also got tired of hard starts and added a manual choke, like cars should have, made a huge difference.
Thanks John, something to consider...
Agree with all of that if running the car for half an hour includes driving it!
I had an electric choke, useless. Mine at least had zero temperature sensing. They just imagine a temperature and go with it. Choke-wise, my way works well too: three gas pedal pumps, pull the choke while the pedal is depressed to set fast idle, start. If it stumbles a bit, more pedal presses.

While checking my Carter carb with engine running, I took the air cleaner off and there was a very loud hissing sound of air. I placed a piece of paper over the carb and it didn’t move up or down, is this normal?

Hey everyone, has anybody done a Vintage Air AC/Heat setup in their car? I want to bypass the old vacuum setup and go with a Vintage Air Gen 2 model. Before I get started, does anyone have any experience with this? (Which model to go with, do’s and dont’s, etc.) It looks pretty involved. Any and all info/pics would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Who rebuilds original AC accumulator dryers for 1964 Cadillac? I have been on Classic auto air in Tampa FL wait list for over a year , There is one on Old air products web site that looks very similar to the original # 21-4214A but states it fits 1962 Gm cars, The one recommended for a 1964 Cadillac is half the length 21-4215A What is everyone using ? I would prefer to be as original as possible. Thanks
