I just received a repop KleerView bottle and label for my 64 Fleetwood this morning. Wondering where the best location for this bottle would be? Or rather, where was it most commonly installed?

I really enjoy these period correct details and I think they make really fun conversation pieces at car shows!

Side note, you can still get GM OptiKleen fluid at the Dealer. I've always thought the washer fluid was better when they would top it up at the dealer after a service of my 2008 CTS. Now I know why, they have their own stuff! Not bad for a $10 bottle of concentrate.

Jason does most things right, so it's probably accurate : )

That is the location t have always found them on parts cars that had them. Have probably brought in 4 or 5 of them over the years.

Thanks Kurt and Jason! That is where mine shall go.

In the fall and winter months on a cold start, the car starts awful and wants to die until it warms up. I have to keep my foot on the throttle until it warms up or it will idle just terrible and try to die. Once it’s warm, it runs fantastic! Whats going on here? I was thinking of removing the…

Loud air moving sound within carb with cleaner removed

Posted by Dave Fehrle on March 23, 2024 at 3:23pm 8 Comments

While checking my Carter carb with engine running, I took the air cleaner off and there was a very loud hissing sound of air. I placed a piece of paper over the carb and it didn’t move up or down, is this normal?
