Trying to work on the clock out of my 64. When I put a charge to it, the contact points chatter back and forth, sounding like a doorbell buzzer. I don't see the gears moving and the points never snap back. Has anyone experienced this? Ted

I lost my dad 6 years ago today to a senseless Catheritization gone bad, but remember and miss him everyday. He was a HUGE influence on my fascniation with cars, and a BIG help in getting my hobby with 1963 and 1964 Cadillacs off the ground.
I created a slideshow and posted on my YouTube page which you can also see below. I know your father's influenced many of you in your affections for cars and Cadillacs and thought I would share.…

Hi all, can anyone tell me, "how I can tell if I have the 1 1/2" or 1 7/16" upper control arm bushings on my car, while the bushing is on the car?" Mostly every auto parts place have 2 sizes listed, I hate to get the wrong part, but I also hate to take it apart and not have the new part ready to put on. I don't have the luxury of keeping the car apart for days. Any helpful hints would be greatly appreciated. Thank Jim

Steele Rubber now has a better website that makes searching easier. They will also provide a list of parts available for your car via the free parts list link on their site. I created one for my 64 CDV and had a list the next day emailed to me.

Could someone post front and back photos of the 1963 right-hand kick panel with A/C?
My car didn’t come with the original kick panels, so it's a bit of a mystery to me how I should cut the backing board and carpet to fit around the A/C.
Many thanks,
-Samu

While checking my Carter carb with engine running, I took the air cleaner off and there was a very loud hissing sound of air. I placed a piece of paper over the carb and it didn’t move up or down, is this normal?
