We have now signed up over 500 members to our still quite new Website which went public August 9 this past year. I was worried about how well the transition would go from the old Multiply Site, however, I must say that I have been very pleased by the enthusiasm and support. I couldn't have imagined we will have over 500 members on our new site in just over 5 months.
I…

I made a late start on a Nov/Dec Chapter newsletter but hope to (MAKE THAT HAVE TO) finish in a couple of days. One thing that came about working on it and wanting to more closely match the website, is that I ended up tweaking the website header a bit by making the CLC and Chapter Logo's bolder, adding a matching gold border to our main center logo and going back to a white background for the main logo. I thiing our logos are more pronounced and there is no mistaken who we are when…

I'm sitting here waiting to leave work and thought I would post a note to just say hello and wish everyone a pre Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, and Happy New Years wish. If you want to share your Holiday Plans or perhaps Holiday Cadillac Projects, feel free to jump in and share with everyone.
I've started my holiday season out on a sad note having to put one of our 6 cats down yesterday due to cancer (…

I just posted a picture of 17 of my valve covers I had taken to machine shop to be vatted, and bead blasted. I primed all but 4 with Rustoleum Hi Temp Engine Primer, and primed the last 4 with VHT Engine Primer which Auto Zone seems to carry now instead of the Rustoleum Engine Paints. I had never used VHT paint and it seemed to go on a really nice..maybe as good as the Rustoleum.
I've got about $7.50 invested in each valve cover at the machine shop not to mention my paint and time…

I just got back 21 vatted and bead blasted valve covers from the machine shop and was in the garage priming and painting a few of them tonight and thought I would add a picture of the correct Cadillac Blue thanks to the Bill Hirsch 1949 to 1976 Cadillac Blue Paint.
I"m a big fan of Rustoleum Engine Paint and Primer so these were first primed with Rustoleum Engine Primer, then 2 coats of Bill Hirsch Engine Paint.
Note: As most of you know, there is a nice sweet spot between…

After purchasing my '63 convertible and driving it occasionally for a year I decided that I would replace my leased 2001 DTS with a 1970 Eldorado, which has now been my daily driver for 9 years. I repainted it to look just like the Eldorado in the 1970 Cadillac brochure. It is Cinnamon with a dark brown vinyl roof. I think it is prettier than my '63.

When a certain number of replies are posted on a Message Blog or other thread it is added to another page and if you are unfamilar with how this works, might wonder what happened to your reply.
If you scroll down to the bottom of a post that is more than one page long you will see page selection options at bottom left and bottom right. On bottom left, you can click Next to go to next page, or click on the specific page #, or enter the the page number and go to it over on the lower…

Our Carolina Region Newsletter Editor Travis Dowell turned the spotlight on himself (very deservedly I might add) and discussed some of his estimated 50 Cadillacs in the last newsletter. That got me to thinking it might be fun to list Cadillacs other than 63's and 64's that we have owned or still own. It gives someone insight into someone else's association with the Cadillac Brand.
Here is my list:
1982 Coupe DeVille - Silver - sold years ago…

Could someone post front and back photos of the 1963 right-hand kick panel with A/C?
My car didn’t come with the original kick panels, so it's a bit of a mystery to me how I should cut the backing board and carpet to fit around the A/C.
Many thanks,
-Samu

While checking my Carter carb with engine running, I took the air cleaner off and there was a very loud hissing sound of air. I placed a piece of paper over the carb and it didn’t move up or down, is this normal?
