I have the dash top off and I want to operate the Climate Control system, but it won't engage the fan properly because the sensor is missing. If I jump the wires to regain functionality will that burn anything out?
Thanks

Hi
jumping the in-car temp sensor reduces the total resistance of sensor circuit, so Confort control sees that it is very hot inside and will put full AC on. In-car sensor has the biggest impact to total resistance. (Source: CadillacTim`s AC Guide)
Electronics component shop might be able to find a correct resistor for you if you show them the table below.
Thank you.
My purpose is to run the system with the dash top off. It seems the fan will only go on low with the top removed. I am tracking down an air path issue.
When the top is on and everything is connected and HI Auto is selected, the fan sounds loud but the actual amount of air coming out of the ac ducts is not in proportion to the speed of the fan. Somewhere there is either a blockage or an improper diversion/leakage of air. I am also going to try to examine the evaporator to determine of it is blocked by leaves and debris.
Much appreciation for your input.

Could someone post front and back photos of the 1963 right-hand kick panel with A/C?
My car didn’t come with the original kick panels, so it's a bit of a mystery to me how I should cut the backing board and carpet to fit around the A/C.
Many thanks,
-Samu

Hey guys,
I have installed the same Edelbrock carb and have done everything the same as Jason’s carb and intake project. In the spring and summer months the car starts, runs and idles great! In the fall and winter months on a cold start, the car starts awful and wants to die until it warms up. I have to keep my foot on the throttle until it warms up or it will idle just terrible and try to die. Once it’s warm, it runs fantastic! Whats going on here? I was thinking of removing the…
