I would appreciate any info where to put those loose padding pieces under the carpet. 4  big ones are quite simple but how about those smaller triangular parts?

and where shall those long black pieces go? They are like carton with some kind of treatment

The padding is just to level the floor off. The metal pan is full of dips and grooves, so just fill them in to make the floor level.

If this is original padding I would toss it and get some newer aftermarket fire resistant padding. I know of more than one car where the exhaust caught this stuff on fire where it burned the exposed padding under the driver side where floor board was compromised. I actually use this stuff as fire starter in my old cook house! While I like staying original as I can, there is much better material out there now that is fire resistant and provide better sound proofing.

Thanks for good reminder! I plan to put some sound deadening material to floor to resist heat as well.

Two long pieces go under the rear seat where is no carpet. Pieces have holes in place where rear seat belts are attached.

Padding pieces found their own places. They level the floor off like Russ mentioned.

Is there another material you guy think these leveling panels could be made of? Getting ready to put new carpet in and I dont have these panels anymore. Body shop threw them away

1963 RHS A/C kick panel - photos needed

Posted by SK on June 2, 2025 at 2:20pm 2 Comments

Could someone post front and back photos of the 1963 right-hand kick panel with A/C?

My car didn’t come with the original kick panels, so it's a bit of a mystery to me how I should cut the backing board and carpet to fit around the A/C.

Many thanks,

Edelbrock Carb Block off Plates

Posted by Chase on March 12, 2025 at 2:05pm 14 Comments

Hey guys,

I have installed the same Edelbrock carb and have done everything the same as Jason’s carb and intake project. In the spring and summer months the car starts, runs and idles great! In the fall and winter months on a cold start, the car starts awful and wants to die until it warms up. I have to keep my foot on the throttle until it warms up or it will idle just terrible and try to die. Once it’s warm, it runs fantastic! Whats going on here? I was thinking of removing the…
