Quick question: Do we all get wind noise through the closed vent windows at highway speed? I do. The rubber has been replaced. I have heard from a couple of friends and fellow car guys that that's just the way vent windows are. If there are any of us out there old enough to remember if the vent windows were loud when the cars were new that would be helpful. I have tried adjusting them here & there but they are far from silent at cruising speed.

I am trying to get all of the cigarette lighters working in my 63 Coupe deVille. The only two that don't work is the front drivers side and the back drivers side. They are both missing the entire assemblies. I have found the assemblies for the front tray and have wired it. The problem I have with it is that the former owner cut the wires in the dash when he removed the lighter assembly so all I have left are the three wire stubs. The wire assembly from the ashtray has a three prong male…

Ignitor I: Part No. 1181 This is the basic points replacement unit and has 2 times the energy of points and the resistance wire is not an issue whatsoever. I have 4 BF Goodrich 235/70R15 wide white Walls for sale. The WW are about 3 inches wide. The tires have less than 500 miles on them and are less than 6 months old. I bought a 60 conv. and the tires were on the car when I bought them. You can get the tire specs off of Coker website. If anybody has an interest let me know. Im in Tampa, but could ship them Fed-ex or UPS.

I know we have discussed gasoline here before. I posted this link on another car forum http://blog.hemmings.com/index.php/2012/11/14/tech-101-ethanol-in-gasoline-and-its-effects-on-collector-cars/?refer=news
During that discussion another member posted this link to a gasoline white paper. It has great detail on gasoline, octane, ethanol, etc. More…

Could someone post front and back photos of the 1963 right-hand kick panel with A/C?
My car didn’t come with the original kick panels, so it's a bit of a mystery to me how I should cut the backing board and carpet to fit around the A/C.
Many thanks,
-Samu

While checking my Carter carb with engine running, I took the air cleaner off and there was a very loud hissing sound of air. I placed a piece of paper over the carb and it didn’t move up or down, is this normal?
