Hey guys, whats the difference in a part called a reproduction and called a replacement? I'm looking at door jamb switches and the reproduction costs more than the replacement. It sounds like a reproduction is not made by the OEM but a replacemnt sounds like not the original but something that will work..any thoughts? Tom

When I swapped in the tilt steering column in my 64 CDV years ago I did not have the short tilt lever and tilt gear shift lever with the sandalwood (beige) cap. If anyone has either in nice condition, with tight cap, and smooth chrome, email me at jasonedge@nc.rr.com.
I'm emailing our "in house" Parts Suppliers and hope someone can come up with something before next…

There are many cool features about our new website hosted by Ning and we have not taken advantage of many of them. I have just created a private invitation only "Group" for our 63/64 Chapter Members where we can discuss "chapter stuff" in privacy.
Keep in mind that our Chapter is A Free Inclusive Club and invite everyone that has not already joined the CLC and our Chapter to join up and become an active member in our club. …

I finally found and fixed the remaining pesky water leak into the passenger compartment. This is the 1st time since owning this car (28 years) that it does not leak from somewhere. I have resealed the windshield, back glass, trunk seal, door seals, & window seals over the years. This last leak eluded my for the longest time. Water would end up on the front passenger floorboard after washing the car. Thinking it was still the windshield I pulled the dash pad and had a friend pour water…

I recently found and fixed a pesky leak where water was entering the passenger compartment and winding up on the front passenger floorboard. I can post details about that if anyone is interested in a separate blog. My wipers have always as long as I have owned this car (29 years) had a delay from the time I flip on the switch til they start wiping, up to a minute sometimes. I have also seen where they have a delay after I turn them off til they stop wiping. I had the dash out recently and…

Taking part in the recent Carolina Region meet-up in Lenoir, NC was a highlight for me and Cheryl and have to say you will not meet a nicer bunch of Cadillac enthusiasts starting with President Greg Powers and newsletter editor Travis Dowell. They really made me and Cheryl feel right at home for our first meet-up with the region and I am honored to have my 64 CDV grace the cover of their November Newsletter.
If you have not…

Hi Guys, this may sound odd because I have a De Ville Convert but I found and got working a GE 9in B&W TV that worked on 120V, 12V or a big battery and I want to mount it somehow in the back seat. I am sure the Limo version had TV's put in by shooters of that time. Question is what did it look like. Does anyone have one or a picture of some limos of the time..like a Caddy with a TV antenna on it? or even a Lincoln..I know I have to do the analog to digital switch but think its a cool…

Could someone post front and back photos of the 1963 right-hand kick panel with A/C?
My car didn’t come with the original kick panels, so it's a bit of a mystery to me how I should cut the backing board and carpet to fit around the A/C.
Many thanks,
-Samu

Hey guys,
I have installed the same Edelbrock carb and have done everything the same as Jason’s carb and intake project. In the spring and summer months the car starts, runs and idles great! In the fall and winter months on a cold start, the car starts awful and wants to die until it warms up. I have to keep my foot on the throttle until it warms up or it will idle just terrible and try to die. Once it’s warm, it runs fantastic! Whats going on here? I was thinking of removing the…
