Jason Exhaust System Project - Already Running into Problems!

As you saw from the pictures and video I've removed the custom dual exhaust to go back with the stock single exhaust supplied by Classic Exhaust out of Ohio, and went to install the Y pipe late yesterday. (As I've indicated elsewhere I love the deep, throaty, hot rod sound of the dual flow masters but for this car I want it to look and sound stock).

For the last few weeks I've been driving…

Speaker to Dash Question

Hi Folks!  This is the kind of thing people usually ask me but I'm a little stumped and need some help.  Years ago when I replaced the front speaker in my 63 Sixty Special, I didn't scribe the mounting properly. As such, the speaker has never been aligned to the dash pad just right and this causes a little rattle.  Does anyone know how to get a proper fit (if you messed up and didn't mark?).  Thanks!... Joe

My 63 is misbehaving.

I hope someone can shed a little light on this, cause' I think it's dark up here right now.

My 63 runs great, idles fine, vacuum gauge is steady when using ONLY the primary side of the Carter AFB. If I crack the secondaries, it starts stumbling shaking missing, will not rev any more and will occasionally backfire, of course vacuum goes virtually to 0 when the secondaries are opened but bounces right back. I can rev it all day on the primaries and it will run without…

Edelbrock Carb Block off Plates

Posted by Chase on March 12, 2025 at 2:05pm 13 Comments

Hey guys,

I have installed the same Edelbrock carb and have done everything the same as Jason’s carb and intake project. In the spring and summer months the car starts, runs and idles great! In the fall and winter months on a cold start, the car starts awful and wants to die until it warms up. I have to keep my foot on the throttle until it warms up or it will idle just terrible and try to die. Once it’s warm, it runs fantastic! Whats going on here? I was thinking of removing the…

Loud air moving sound within carb with cleaner removed

Posted by Dave Fehrle on March 23, 2024 at 3:23pm 8 Comments

While checking my Carter carb with engine running, I took the air cleaner off and there was a very loud hissing sound of air. I placed a piece of paper over the carb and it didn’t move up or down, is this normal?
